David Brower Dominates the 2025 Lumberjack 100 in Scorching Heat

This past weekend, Dragon Adventures Base Camp and REMAX MarkDeering.com athlete David Brower took the win at the grueling 2025 Lumberjack 100—one of the most prestigious 100-mile mountain bike races in the country.

Video Interview below

Held deep in the Manistee National Forest, the Lumberjack 100 challenged riders with high humidity, technical singletrack, and relentless climbs. With temperatures soaring to 100 degrees, the DNF (Did Not Finish) rate hit an astonishing 60%, making this one of the most brutal editions of the race to date.

But David Brower was undeterred. In a thrilling repeat matchup with fellow endurance legend Christian Tanguy, David pushed hard from the start and eventually crossed the finish line a full 17 minutes ahead of his closest rival. This marked a major breakthrough in a two-year battle between the two riders, with 2025 being David’s turn at the top of the podium.

After the race, we had the opportunity to sit down with both David and Christian to hear their thoughts, race strategy, and what it took to survive such extreme conditions.

Key Highlights:

  • 🚵 100 miles of fast, technical singletrack
  • 🥵 100° temps and high humidity
  • ⛰ Over 12,000 feet of elevation gain
  • 🏆 David Brower’s 20-minute victory margin
  • 🎙 Full interview with both David and Christian

The Lumberjack 100 remains a bucket-list race for endurance mountain bikers—and 2025 proved just how tough and rewarding it can be.
