When you use the word “Epic” in your event, you have BIG shoes to fill, and they filled them! Watch the video and read the blog to find out more!
I went down to Indiana to try something new, Brown County Epic! It was an amazing event, and I’m already looking forward to next year! From the moment I pulled in late Friday night to when I left, I was impressed!
Drove the van down Friday and when I arrived I was told to park anywhere in a giant field. Woke up to hundreds of tents, vans, campers, all around me! Started the day with a free breakfast provided by a local restaurant served buffet style! Then it was time to get on the bikes!
No official mass start, just suggested times to avoid bottlenecks of faster groups. You can choose from 26, 44, or 72 mile routes. Trails were well marked, but didn’t hurt if you had the routes downloaded on your bike computer. At least 2-3 spots had aid stations with live music, food, and goodies! The weather was perfect and seems like a perfect time of year for the event. Ran into 2 bike shop guys that let me tag along on their ride. Thanks AJ and Dillon, great riding with you guys! And thanks to Brown County bikes! The knee pads came in clutch!
Post ride there were showers, more free food, free beer, live music, and giveaways! THE TRAILS ARE AMAZING IN BROWN COUNTY! Get there if you haven’t been. I think I will add this to my annual calendar! Great job Brown County and everyone who puts this event on! You created a fan!
Keep Adventuring!
